History
The Bank was originally chartered at the Vergennes State Bank in 1919. In 1970, the charter was transferred and established as The Bank of Carbondale. In January 1981, several area men purchased the stock of The Bank of Carbondale which was previously owned by a group outside the area. As a result, we can proudly say that we are locally owned and managed. We are A Real Community Bank. That means, total commitment to our customers, our neighbors, our friends!
Mission Statement
The Bank of Carbondale is an independent community-owned bank that strives to provide outstanding service to our customers and community, while providing rewarding opportunities for its employees and maximizing the shareholders' return on their investment.
Employment
The Bank of Carbondale continually seeks people that are highly motivated, concerned with customer satisfaction, and those who strive to offer the best in banking services to the community. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. The Bank of Carbondale offers competitive salaries, benefits, and a great working atmosphere.
